For those of you that attend some games can you get tickets at the gate or do you need to secure ahead of time. Was thinking about going on Saturday from the Des Moines area but wanted some insight. Thanks in advance

Driving over to Chicago? It's college baseball, NU sucks, I would imagine there will be all of 100 people there.

Buy in advance.

On Wikipedia, it suggests that capacity is 600 people: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rocky...enice Miller Park, opened for baseball in 1943.

Last 6 home games (per NW website):
Rutgers (friday) - 174
Rutgers (saturday) - 112
Rutgers (sunday) - 417
Indiana (friday) - 266
Indiana (saturday) - 690 (seems odd if capacity is 600)
Indiana (sunday) - 452

Seems like there was likely a lot of IU fans watching in Evanston.

It'll be Senior Day on Saturday as they close out the series. That may add to the numbers. Iowa baseball is getting a better following. That may add to the numbers. If it is nice outside, you may have folks in Evanston wanting to catch the last game of the year.

I wouldn't want to drive 6 hours to Evanston and run the risk. Buy the tickets in advance. $7 per ticket . . . a bargain: https://nusports.com/sports/2020/2/10/baseball-ticket-central.aspx

Either way you are not going to have any issues getting tickets and I don't think buying tickets online is any cheaper. But you may like the convenience of having your tickets already in hand. It's cheaper online if you have a small group as 15 group tickets are only $45 versus $7 each for adult ($5 student).
