Shapiro inherited the case as Attorney General after the suicide determination and says the information his office gathered pointed toward a suicide.

Shapiro said Thursday that at the time, the Greenberg family asked his office to no longer consider the case. He added that he did not wish to speak for the City of Philadelphia regarding the new classification.



I agree 20 stab wounds classified as a suicide seems fishy. But if that is the skeleton, I'll take my chances. There is new evidence that wasn't there previously and Shapiro isn't AG anymore

Maybe. It's not like Shapiro killed/raped anyone. Wasn't having a secret affair. Wasn't taking foreign bribes.

He just made a determination as an AG around the evidence he had at the time. If that's the skeleton, I'm good with him on the ticket in some capacity in 2028 or at least primaries

RW media and pols are going to pull out all the stops to discredit whomever the Democrats put up, so this particular issue is a non-starter in my opinion. Short of putting forward a person who actually murdered someone or caused them to die, Dems can and should put up better candidates than they have recently.

Walz was too much of a governor in '24. He could never escape the Minnesota governor campaign trail mode. He was nowhere near ready for the big stage.

The "aww shucks" midwestern thing only gets you so far, and at some point it makes you seem unqualified and too parochial. You need a certain level of cockiness, and Walz just doesn't exude that.

Compare Walz to Pritzger, who definitely has the chops.

Well, Democrats can't stop someone from running, but they can not elect them to actually be their nominee. I seriously doubt Dwayne Johnson could actually win the nomination. As much as the politics part of things suck, you actually need to prove you can navigate it so when you get to Washington you can actually get something accomplished.
