The offense has been putrid under him and I think we've given it enough time to start asking some tough questions. I had a little bit of hope that things would improve under him, but they've gotten worse. There is really no excuse for it given our offensive line.

same old Iowa O, which is all about execution according to the coaches. Sorry but you have to scheme against the opposing D, Iowa doesn't have the horses to out execute anyone. Oline getting owned in both run and pass blocking. No sustained blocks what so ever.

What a joke some of you are.

Yeah, the offensive coordinator has always been the favorite scapegoat. I do think the common denominator is Kirk.

It is what it is. You take the good with the bad with Kirk. Iowa is rarely out of games with Kirk and his system but they also rarely wow anyone. Iowa's best seasons are usually when special teams are elite and they cause a lot of turnovers. I can think of maybe 1 or 2 seasons in which the Iowa offense was really good under Kirk Ferentz.

It's his first year ever doing this. He's called a lot of shots down field that are open but Stanley over throws them. He can't control fumbles.

With a young QB there will be growing pains but I'm much happier with the play calling now. You already forgot all the 3rd & 5s with a 3 yard out routes?
