Time to keep this pace up ....

After an 0-2 start, Iowa has a nice 4 game winning streak in 2020. Time to keep it going, but clearly, a B1G hurdle is ahead in Champaign. As coach Lovie Smith has everything pointed towards the Hawkeyes now.

So, Iowa trails Illinois in the all-time series, 35-38-2, though the Hawkeyes have won 14 of the last 17 meetings, 11 of the last 12, and six in a row. Four in a row against Lovie Smith.

Let's make it seven on Saturday.

The Iowa offense will face a likely motivated Illini football team.

While Iowa has a Remington watch member, so does the Illini. Iowa will need to step up in all 3 phases on Saturday.

The Illini lost two starters ahead of the Iowa game.

Does Lovie Smith have the mojo to get the Illini their first win over Iowa, since 2008? That game was a 27-24 win in Champaign. The Hawkeyes failed in their comeback that year.

Iowa won 19-10 last year in Kinnick, but clearly, the Illini showed something is moving in the right direction.
