Titan Mercury is attempting to start a pro league and it starts this month vs the Finger Lakes WC. McDonough is one of the guys who may wrestle at 57 kg for Titan Mercury

If I were an Ohio State fan that would make me very nervous. Could he compete, and not get paid, and keep his eligibility?

Not sure but he's been able to compete in other events where prize money and/or bonuses were offered. The term "Pro League" makes it seem different on the surface but money is money whether the event is called "Dave Schultz", "World Championships" or "Titan Mercury Pro Wrestling League".

He could compete...just not take any money. Our graduates earned money in Iowa vs the World whereas we had amateur matches too.

The money he earns is put in some type of fund that he can touch when he's done competing in college as long as he doesn't take any sponsorships or anything like that he's fine
