TOM BRANDS Interview

Interesting that the first thing Brands says is we got to find 141 and 165, but doesn't mention 157.

Great work as always Todd. Brands gave some really good answers as usual.

Maybe I'm reading into it, but it seems that the feeling for 165 is that Paddock would be the guy if he could get his weight under control. If Rhoads was the better of the two, why would it really matter whether Paddock wrestled unattached at 165 or 174? I thought it spoke well of Paddock's abilities that after missing weight by 3/4 of a lb or so, he still wrestled well up at 174. I recall missing weight at a tournament and having to wrestle up a weight. I remember thinking, I'm already spent from trying to cut, now I'm wrestling guys bigger than me, it was a real mindF#*ck for me. I'm really interested to see what a healthy Paddock can do at 165. Hopefully we see it on Sunday.

I like Paddock but my personal opinion is his Greco background doesn't transfer to the college scene as well. TnT preach points and constant pressure with shots and Greco recruiting isn't what they preach. Stoll has the background too but he can get away with it at HWT. Just my two cents.
