Tomasello outstanding wrestler

Yikes. I think he had the 5th best tournament out of all the champs.
I don't think he was the OW of the tourney, he was the OW of the finalist handed out by the Big Ten Network. The coaches awards, which is the official, for OW of the tournament would not of been announced by the end of the broadcast. Now he might get the coaches but I doubt it, I would put my money on Retherford getting the official OW.

Wrestling didn't win today. Weight lifting and huge wrestlers won today. Frankly, a step back for the sport.

Was a little surprised by this as well. NATO was not real impressive in this tournament overall. There were two or three others that I thought deserved it more, but nobody asked me.

Yes. He was the only one. Tomasello probably weighed 155 pounds today when he wrestled Clark. It's an advantage.

Toma will probably never weigh that much for the rest of his life.

BTW, I don't get the step back thing. For all the whining and complaining some posters did last night, the finals were far from a stall fest and quite entertaining.

Might have been the most entertaining match of the tournament.

Dude. You don't honestly believe that right?

He throws everyone around like a rag doll. Yes, he is super strong, as is their entire team, they stress power lifting and you can see it. I don't like that they cut so much weight, but that's how they do it and today, their way won.

Was absolutely brutal watching Tomasello escape with about .5 seconds left in regulation. I was feeling pretty good about Cory keeping control after Tomasello sat out with about :06 left. Hats off to him for getting it done. Cory's bad shoulder couldn't have helped as he tried to keep hold of him there.

Even though Cory didn't win the tournament, my hat goes off to him. Many of us probably didn't see him making the finals with the injury. He's such a crafty dude, seeing Tomasello at Big Tens will pay off for him at Nationals if they meet again. Would love to see him get a rematch Saturday night. I'll love his chances if he does.

I certainly don't expect us to win Nationals by any means, but that tournament, as we all know, is built for teams with a nucleus of studs. We have a legit chance to put 5 in the finals with one likely champ and maybe two. Could at least put us in the conversation and make it interesting. With a healthy Stoll and a healthy Clark, I'd give us a shot.

Today was the perfect storm for Ohio State but hats off, they kicked our butts and everyone elses too.

You enjoyed the match then? How did your guy do in it?
Yes, I did enjoy the match and my guy Cory Clark came up just short. However, it looked to me like Cory can definitely beat this guy. I hope they meet again in St Louis.

OSU beat a PSU team that would have scored a lot more points if Suriano was not injured. I still think PSU is the favorite at NCAA.

Ha, suck it up big boy. Seriously, I can see Brooks as a contender for OW, but he needed Retherford to look human in the finals to get it.

Didn't Retherford tech fall Jordan in the finals?? Oh wait, I get it. He pins everyone else so a tech fall is human? :)

Ps. Unless I got a different version as I watched it DVR'ed, Brooks majored a defending national champ in his finals match.....

Snyder and kollin Moore cut a ton. Heard it's anywhere from 20-30 lbs weekly. Pletcher also cuts a ton.

21Guns, please don't post your nonsense on 2 message boards. Thanks.

You ain't Dan Gable either. You sure like to throw your name out there on message boards though. Unprofessional. I don't see Tim Johnson and Jim Gibbons making internet attacks.

21guns is in major meltdown mode. I can feel him crying through my screen. When he isnt crying he is attacking fellow posters including his psu amigos. The last 24 hours of his posts truly show some mental illness. Needs some help or to put the bottle down. Yikes
