Tony is 2nd Team All-B1G (per Coaches). Owen named Co-Freshman of the Year. Payton 3rd Team All-B1G (Coaches & Media)

What!! I hope this silences some of the basketball geniuses who are hoping he's gone after this year.

I'm absolutely biased and Mgbako is going to be a STUD, but if someone wins Big Ten Freshman of the Week 9 times, and someone else wins it twice, there's no goddamn reason they should be sharing the Freshman of the Year award/rant
Which coaches voted for him? Tia

Considering the fact that the unanimous player of the year will likley be a 2nd round draft choice, I'm not sure what All-Big Ten team you are on is the true indicator of future NBA success.

I couldn’t even tell you anything about the freshman from Indiana. Hadn’t ever heard his name before.

Same. Here's their stats.
Freeman:

Freeman had a much higher FG%, slightly fewer ppgs, more rebounds, more blocks, same assists, and played less minutes.
Which coaches voted for him? Tia
Not sure, I'm hoping someone knows where to find that info.

I agree with that, but comparing their stats (see McLovin's post above) it would appear they had equally impressive frosh campaigns.

Stats never tell the whole story tho.... The energy and attitude that Freeman brings to the court can be felt, but fully measured in a stat line.

Owen was freshman of the week 9 damn times. I guarantee he had a HUGE impact on the game(s) those weeks.

Oh well, give everyone a trophy. Have they had co-freshmen in the past?

Still a well earned award, just questionable sharing it.

Wait, Owen Freeman, the guy who won freshmen of the week 9 times (isn't that like half of the possible opportunities to win it?) has to share the award with a guy who won freshmen of the week....*checks notes*...twice. I mean, I don't doubt he's good but if you are going to split the award then you'd think the number of times they had won the award would be a little more evenly split.

It's relevant because where you end up on an all Big Ten team is irrelavant to what the NBA thinks of your future. Good lord you're thin skinned. And where you got that I was questioning Tony's value to the team is simply you being a dick, as usual.
Thin-skinned? Dick? Pot meet kettle. Look at what you replied to and tell me WTF the NBA has to do with anything I posted? Then tell me why my response warranted this all too typical childish attack?
