Who would've imagined a galaxy in which a semi-blowout loss to Purdue barely registered on the emotional EKG? This one will go down in history for the 136 penalty yards.

Because it was tied at halftime. Because Noah Fant went nuts. Because it was the lasting memory, at home, in front of a half-empty stadium. But mostly because it was Iowa.

I didn't realize it had gotten to 10 games but then again thinking about it how they just crapped the bed in last 4 games to end last season. They are closing in to Iowa's losing streak from 99-00' that reached 13 games until we beat Michigan St. in 2000. A losing streak of that many games that I just couldn't imagine happening again. Amazing that a "blue blood" such as Nebraska is closing on that though and have a losing streak of double digits.

The half of the stadium that wasn't empty was wearing black and gold.

6 — Colorado 33, Nebraska 28 (2018)

What it lacks in humiliation, it makes up in heartbreak. There is a reasonable argument that if Nebraska beats the Buffs and Adrian Martinez stays healthy (or if Noah Vedral is available), we’re talking about a different season. Maybe 3-3 or 4-2. Still, it’s worth noting that most Husker fans felt pretty good after the opener.

This is the one that cracked me up. No you wouldn't have 3 or 4 wins. This team was bad back then and it's bad now. It's getting better but it's still bad. 4-2 WTF are you smoking.

Yes only Nebraska media could turn a 17 point loss, 14 point loss (at home) and a 46-point loss into possible wins. They have lost close games in every way imaginable, which is their fault not anyone else's. But to say that they would be 3-3 or 4-2 if they beat Colorado is just ridiculous. The same issues that plagued them in that game reared their heads in the other close losses, the difference in Colorado was the injury to Martinez.

I don't think they are an awful team, at all. It would not surprise me at all if they beat someone good down the stretch. I do think there is a huge problem in the culture of the team. The coach gets none of the blame from the media or the fans, which has to make the players wonder what's going on. At some point, the leader has to take responsibility for what happens on the field. Even if it's just to say "we're making too many mistakes and ultimately I need to help the team get that fixed." Instead what he says are things like he's not the defensive coordinator and that it pains him that they are the most undisciplined team he's ever seen. There's a reason he's getting paid $5M a year, if it's not his job to get that addressed then why are they paying him?

The fawning treatment of Frost by the Omaha and Lincoln media is not helping him or the team at all. Everything good about the team Frost is credited for and anything bad is the fault of the players and not him. That is no way to succeed.

Sounds very similar to when Alford was BB coach here. Wins meant he was great coach. Losses meant players didn't run his gameplan correctly.

Frosty is the 10th highest paid college coach on the planet and he took the entire staff of UCF with him when he left.

NO-braska is 0-6 and UCF is 6-0.

Watching his team you can almost guarantee he won't be winning any championships in the B1G. Not even any more pretend ones.
The team Ferentz inherited at Iowa was bad. They got a lot better in just a few years.

Too soon to tell what Nebraska’s future will be, though it is extremely difficult to attain elite status when you haven’t been there in a couple of decades.

They have such a lil bro infatuation with us. You can’t find a thread on their message boards that they don’t find a way to talk about Iowa in it.

They’ve got to quit comparing themselves with us. Start with a reasonable program comparison. They should strive to have a program like Tony. . . er Troy.

Haha exactly. But if you live in Nebraska... This type of crap is all too common with the husker media. They are the worst of the worst. It's basically a giant circle-jerk with anything... And I mean anything... surrounding husker football. They live in this fantasy world where it's still the 90s...and having scotty back is nostalgia on a level no one can even imagine

For some reason I get the feeling that Nebraska has our game circled, and they don't really care, especially at this point, if they're 0-11 come Black Friday.

Don’t worry, KF and Brian have it circled and a points to score total vs Nebreaska every time Iowa plays them. I don’t worry about this game after Shawn Eichorst’s comments.
