Iowa is getting a lot of looks from top players. Will they land one at some point?
Gotta step up to the plate and take your swings. Sooner or later...
I like that Fran isn't resigned to not going after the top talent. This is a big year to show recruits that Iowa is not a bottom feeder Big 10 program by missing the tournament for the 3rd year in a row. Getting visits from the big boy recruits is great, I also hope the coaches have plans B, C, and D in place...you know, just in case these top guys go elsewhere.
I don't see how it can hurt to bring guys in. Probably little chance of landing him but you don't know if you don't try. Loser mentality to say we shouldn't bring guys in if they want to visit.
with the 15 visit rule (which I think is excessive) Iowa by sheer mathematics will get more visits from top talent .
2021? Damn, man. The 2012 class seems like they were getting recruited like last week.
You never know when a kid will "click" with a head coach or staff. Fran is very personable, knows the game, and can be very persuasive. Getting the kids on campus is the only way to have a chance with some very, very good players.

Cook #38 by ESPN chose Iowa over Kansas
Garza top 100 by ESPN chose Iowa over Louisville, Georgetown, Indiana, Notre Dame and others if those are considered bad hits I will take those every year.
You might have more ammunition if we hadn't landed five 4* players since the 2016 class (using Rivals rankings).
