This is for those of you who continue to point at Iowas facilities as a reason why a recruit or coach should come to Iowa City. It turns out that all the top programs have nice state of the art facilities. It's no longer a difference maker. Iowa finally just caught up to everyone else. Iowa still didnt make the list.

1. Oregon
2. A&M
3. Bama
4. Tennessee
5. Notre Dame
6. OSU
7. LSU
8. USC
9. Georgia
10. Oklahoma
11. Texas
12. Michigan
13. Okie State
14. FSU
15. Nebraska
16. Michigan State
17. Florida
18. Auburn
19. Va Tech
20. Ole Miss
21. Arkansas
22. TCU
23. Stanford
24. Baylor
25. Wisconsin

You source leaves me underwhelmed. It is just like the dorks who names the best party schools, etc.

How old is this list? It shows #1 Oregon spent $68 million on that facility. I think Iowa spent about that if I remember correctly, so can't be that much difference. Ours is brand new to, seems subjective.

Just last year Dinardo said it's the best facility in the Big 10.. so now we're tied.. now what OP?

Also, Wisconsins facilities are a dump!!

Not impressed with Wisconsin's. We have 100,000 sq ft practice facility compared to their 76,000 sq ft.

This list is basically a regurgitation of programs typically in the top 25. Colorado might have the one of the better facilities in the nation - not even on the list.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. This is a very
subjective topic among college football players.
If facilities are equal, then most recruits will choose a
college based on promised playing time and the magnetic
personality of the head football coach.

Georgia is listed as #9, and they're just now building an indoor practice facility. Kinda tells you how credible this list is.

Don't know why they would put Wisconsin in the top 25 in facilities stead of Iowa.

Wisconsin hasn't updated their facilities as much as Iowa has.

Lots of Nebby fans in a thread not specifically about Nebraska. Who is obsessed with who again?

Here's an interesting read, comparing Iowa's facilities to the SEC's.

What a really fair, reasonable and terrific article. Opulence, waterfalls, barbershops and impressive, high-tech locker rooms seem to be the difference between ours and theirs; but this author seems to think that those things are not needed. Proud to have the wonderful facility what we have, and of the players it helps us recruit.

Colorado's is probably left off due to the machete wielding nut jobs that frequent their facitlity.

I know about 15 Kyle's and each one if them is a dork with no real chance at ever carrying on a serious conversation...many act just like the one in this thread.

Is it true that Iowa has the largest weight room in the country, college or pros? I think they mentioned that during the broadcast last game. Something like 23,000 square feet.

Wisconsin's facilities?
I have personally been in Neb Iowa Wisconsin MN. Ranking overall setup includes practice facility, weight room, physical therapy, study hall, cafeteria. Rank them
1 Nebraska
2 Iowa
3 Wis
4 MN

Straight up football facilities only. Iowa goes to 1

Agreed. I've been to quite a bit of these schools facilities while recruiting for my previous company. It just depends on who writes the articles, but it is very hard to distinguish on a lot of these.

Georgia really need one?.... Honest question.

Except for a random hurricane, how bad is it in December?
Lightning. FSU would lose more than a handful of practices a year due to lightning. I think you have to wait 30 minutes after a lightning strike is a certain amount of distance past the facility and it made it hard to reschedule.
