Top 25 losses

It looks like everyone we’ve lost to is ranked in the top 25, is this acceptable?
I’m not happy with the results, but it’s not like we’re losing to bad teams. Here’s to a good win on Thursday leading into a nice little win streak and maybe an upset or two!

We fans are as guilty as anyone about reacting too strongly to the wild swings in results. Yes, everyone Iowa has lost to is in the Top 25. The flip side of that is in 2 of the games Iowa was not very competitive at all, and that there are a lot more such games coming up. Hopefully the team can find its footing. But better competition tends to point out your weaknesses. Iowa did not get better in November and December playing the line of terrible teams and ringing up large margin wins. Yes, Utah State and Virginia are seen as decent/good wins due to not being at home, but lot of work to do for this team yet.

In a rebuilding year, Iowa's record is not as bad as posters are suggesting. I believe the early wins led people to think this might be an upper level BT team. This team is performing slightly better than what was expected.

Sounds about right. Iowa might be a top 50 team, but certainly not a Top 25 team.

This is a young team experience-wise. I expect them to struggle as well as surprise at times. I just hope that at some point they can build some momentum and confidence, enough to finish the year on a roll. Not expecting it, but I can hope, right?
