Not much movement for us. Not terribly surprising since no one knows what to make of Marquette quite yet. Hard to get much movement anywhere when so many teams are just getting cupcake wins right now. I was really surprised that so few ranked Northern Iowa though. They did lose to Colorado St but that might also be an elite mid major team this year.

If UNI didn't lose to Colorado State they are top 25. That was a legitimate loss. Actually CSU is pretty good. The win vs North Carolina was no fluke though, and they will be an elite mid major, with plenty of chances to prove themselves with a tough non-con. However, even though I'm a yuge UNI homer, they should not be ahead of Iowa, even if Marquette is below average (hard to imagine since they have amazing in a decent conference) a 28 point road win is nothing to slouch on.

The rankings will work themselves out. I hate to be "that guy", but all we need do is take care of Dayton and then wake up ready to play basketball again.

Rankings, at this point in the season, are essentially irrelevant as far as the Hawks are concerned.

Iowa never gets respect in anything. Just like the football team, always have to start out about #50 and go up from there.

With the upcoming schedule, Iowa will quickly shoot up the polls if we keep winning. The Dayton game is a really important early season game.
