I usually don't watch many of the video clips on the front page, a lot of the same stuff over and over it seems. I decided to watch the one with Young because I just din't know that much about him.

If you have a few minutes, I recommend watching it. What a well spoken, down to earth, like-able kid. He is an easy guy to root for, and I was very impressed by his demeanor and his answers. He even handled a real jack-a$$ question from one guy about "garbage time" smoothly. (what a terrible way to ask that question). Anyway, well done Toren.....hope you get the chance to stick it to the home town team!

They ask a lot of stupid questions. And then repeat those questions in different ways. The guys do a good job giving a decent answer to most of them.

I think that was Marc Morehouse asking that question, but I don’t think he said it in a rude way at all. Toren answered it really well.
He’s a proud young man just to have this opportunity. I hope he does well.

Can’t even watch it without a bunch of pop up ads opening up on my phone and stopping the video 20 seconds in.

Sad that the internet actually thinks these pop up ads work. Even worse that website like HR would allow them.

I am always very impressed with the way Iowa players interview. Sure, they get some coaching, but in the heat of an interview many players just start babbling, or boasting, or just simply say stuff that makes no sense or lack class. Not at Iowa!

Sounds like a great kid.

Really seems to appreciate the opportunity that he has and knows he has to put in the work. I really think he can be something special with a good mix of speed and power in our system.

Any program that doesn't help their players develop interview skills ain't doin' it right. After all, they are college students, and most of them do end up with a decent education, despite the noise to the contrary. How to handle an interview should be right there with how to handle a blitz, and at Iowa, it is.
