that was my initial reaction coz i assumed this was recent news. i didn't notice the mar 31 time stamp on op's link either.
but since i've seen it reported very recently that japan and skorea are close to signing deals with us it seems less worrisome. i suppose i could assume we are being lied to about the deals but somehow allies like japan and s.korea going over to china seems a far-fetched idea.
