I’m been walking/jogging on some fairly rough trails lately and my feet are feeling it today. I love being out in nature walking or jogging with my dogs on unpaved trails. We have over 20 miles of hilly, rocky, muddy trails in and around town I’ll also be wearing them on paved trails.

I’ve read a few reviews and I’m leaning towards the Saucony Peregrine 14. Anyone own a pair?

Any other recommendations would be great too.

Are you a Marielito? This is important as I don't want to waste time forging a relationship if you're just going to get deported.

Hoka speedgoats are a pretty down the middle trail running shoe. Have enough lugs for (semi) loose terrain, plenty fast enough on the tame stuff. Believe they offer a gore-tex version, but I don’t find the value of water proof running shoes (feet can’t breathe as well, trap heat/sweat).

Hoka’s are great. Be sure to buy online to save major $$$!

Both of those shoes were mentioned in the reviews I read. For some reason I associate Hokas with old people with holes in their heads.

Waterproof shoes don’t work unless you have on rain pants.
When hiking in the rain I often wear gaiters for protection from brush and wet vegetation. Problem is, rain runs down my legs right into the shoe.
