Great article! Do you guys believe that Rutt is utilized as a practice partner for that 174-197 guys? Also I wonder if he will help with recruiting? I know that there is a Mason Rutt, who Im assuming is family, from Tri City United in Minnesota. I believe he is one of the top ranked wrestlers at 170#'s in class AA as a junior. Wonder if there would be any connections there?

“My biggest hang-up with strength coaches is that they tend to always be right. And very inflexible,” Brands said. “He does not fit that … stereotype at all.”

“He’s open-minded enough to realize that there is a better way,” Brands said, “than just the textbook way.”
I'd love to know all the details entailing this.

A lot of us have been hoping that's a two way street. From the sounds of the article, it appears that is the case which is a great thing for Iowa wrestling.

Who is more inflexible, Brands or an Iron bar?

I don't think it's been the S&C guys who were inflexible in the past but maybe just my thoughts.
