you can’t always get what you want!
The long drive back from Az did have its moments…
I’m always amazed at the beauty of the high desert and mesas of New Mexico! The shades of red and brown rock in the sun light is absolutely breathtaking-taking. And the “scrub” of the high plains of New Mexico and west Texas is by contrast, stark at best.
The surprise was of the trip was driving through central Kansas and particularly between Emporia and Kansas City… the apple trees are in full blossom and gorgeous right now…if you have allergies, good luck! Damn, lots of apple trees there, too!

I got grass growing...even dandelions spouting - in the parts of my yard that get the most sun.

It's friggin' March. This ain't right.

Noticed some of the bushes along the trail I walk on every day had some green buds on them this morning. Always love this time of year watching everything come back to life.

Where the pics bro?

Me, too. I get really pissed off when people cut down trees for no good reason.

We live in the old part of West Des Moines and the streets look like a new development because the local tree police over the years have cut down almost all of the grand old trees growing along side the roads. It actually looks much worse now then when we moved in 30 years ago.

What kind of trees? If Ash trees, it's understandable. Our neighborhood is full of dead Ash trees waiting to be brought down. All on peoples properties though so no assist from the city.
