The injury in an assault is not proven with physical damages. That's battery. Assault has to meet statutory requirements. You know you can be convicted for rape even if it's consensual. What's the injury there?

Can't imagine any local lawyer anxious to take on a critical member of the town's B1G team. That would be like a lawyer taking on Garza last year. Of course, Garza would never put himself in that position.

Probably wind up as a civil suit.

Back to the thread, Williams might have a tough time with this. Painter looks like a patsy if he does nothing because Williams was obviously out VERY late on a weekday night/morning and appeared to be inebriated.
