Starting out at DE. He's really tall and skinny right now. Great range with a wingspan close to 7 feet.

So right now, Fant is projected at TE? If I remember right, there was some discussion he might switch to defense. But I frequently mix these things up.

Yes, recruited at TE and prefers TE.

Any chance that Fant sees the field this year? Depth is kinda thin at TE. Also, do you think Hockenson or Beyer will end up at OL at some point? If so, which one?

Nope. Hockenson and Beyer will be TE's and should be damn good ones!
If anything Beyer could maybe be a DE someday but thats a stretch.
Wisnieski, Pekar, Outsey, Vevoda, and Fant in the stable. Dont see Fant going to DE based on his desire to play TE.
Iowa is not THIN on depth.
Young yes, inexperienced, yes.
Thin on talent, no.
