President Donald Trump signed a memorandum on Tuesday ordering the United States to have Iran "obliterated" if the country assassinated him.

Trump said he was "torn" about whether or not to sign the order but decided to move forward because Iran was "too close" to having a nuclear weapon, he said in remarks Tuesday from the White House.

"Trump said he would hold talks with his counterpart in Tehran, but warned he's left 'instructions' that if Iran assassinated him, the US foe 'would be obliterated,'" Sky News first reported.

The funniest part of this is that I'm sort of imagining an official-looking document that actually uses the word "obliterated" in the directive text. (I'm on the fence regarding whether it's in bold and/or Gothic typeface)
