Trump: Orban Wants “President Obama” To Resign

"Moderate" independents need to pay attention. Trump's casual relationship with facts and truth, as bad as that is, is less concerning with his love for right-wing authoritarians and how well it plays with his base. Also, the silence from other Republicans is deafening. Anyone who thinks that more than a handful of GOP office holders have the backbone to stand up to Trump is delusional.

Also why Orban is the GOP's hero to the point CPAC has had *repeated* annual meetings in *Hungary*, and invited him to be their keynote speaker here.

Think about it. Why is the core Republican Party annual meeting taking place overseas in a country where a Putin-allied demagogue has taken over eliminated all political opposition?

The two-day conference, much like its first iteration in May 2022, reflects a deepening of ties between the American right wing and Orban's autocratic government. The burgeoning alliance with Orban has led some U.S. commentators to warn of American conservatives embracing anti-democratic tactics.

The GOP is an anti American cult. I've been on the record for years.

Why should anyone be worried that anyone is meeting with Viktor Orban?

Hungary is a country of 9.7M…middling economy and a inconsequential military.

What exactly are we supposed to be “worried” about?

Serious question.
Lol. An authoritarian pos who is Putin Jr is loved and embraced by the leader of the GOP. How is this hard for you to grasp, bothsides Bins? Joe's old though.

Didn't Hungary hold up Finland for NATO awhile too etc? They are a member of NATO and definitely not pro Democracy any more. Trump loves to learn all about that.

Orban is a pos….no argument.

But why worry? The guy has no power. He’s no threat to the US.

Why should people be “worried”. I’m not…why are you?

Finland is a member of NATO.

Why are you soiling yourself over this?

Lula from Brazil is pro Putin and the administration kisses his ass on the regular.

I think what's worrying is the affinity that the Dear Leader has for anti-democratic autocratic rulers. He praises and cozies up with some of the worst leaders on the planet. Why is this so difficult for the right to see?

It's really sad how stupid you are playing yourself off to be just so you can try and justify how Trump meeting with Orban isn't a bad thing and is "no big deal".
Fair enough.

Why is the Biden administration fine with pro Putin Lula who governs a country of much more consequence than Hungary?

I mean if being pro Putin puts someone in the off limits category….

I’m no fan of Orban.

Just disappointed the administration seems to like them some Lula…who’s pro Putin and anti Israel

Oh well.

Fair enough? This is simple basic fact. The GOP is an anti American cult and doesn't want the Democracy to continue. That is also a simple fact.

I see you continually ignore the administrations support of Lula.

Understandable…from your perspective.

I don't know how many times I have to tell you I'm not part of the Biden administration nor am I privy to the conversations they are having.

That said, the fact that Brazil is not actively trying to undermine Democracy in the United States and around the world is probably a good place to start on why this is not the same thing as Trump giving Orban a blow job in hopes that he will help him out with his legal bills.

So Orban is actively trying to undermine democracy in the US?

You seriously believe that?

Lula is more of a threat to US interests than Orban…sorry to break it to you.

Pro Putin and wants to replace the dollar as the go to currency.

We’re talking Orban v Lula.

Lula has the wherewithal to undermine US interests much more than Orban.
Sure. Ok. Honestly, I don't know wtf you are talking about with this so why don't you explain how Biden is working with Lula and how it is the same thing that Trump is doing with Orban right now. And no, I'm not going to look it up because it's likely this came from Fox News and right wing media so it's mostly bullshit anyway, just like every other story they make up is.

Just pointing out that the administration is pretty cozy with Lula…a dude who is in charge of the 8th largest economy and is pretty actively trying to undermine US interests.

Don’t look it up though…wouldn’t want to do that

Worry instead about Victor Orban. The dude in charge of the 53rd largest economy and little of any actual influence in the world.

Please explain "cozy". What are you talking about? And has she worked to restructure the Brazilian government to ensure her continued power indefinitely and disenfranchising citizens to minimize or outright nullify their votes?

Who’s this ”she” you speak of? Did Lula change genders?

Because it’s another example of Trump making nice with authoritarian rulers.

One key difference is that Hungary is in a strategic location in Europe and has perhaps more influence than they normally would given the war in Ukraine and his relationship with Putin.

Brazil meanwhile, while obviously not unimportant economically, doesn’t have the same political importance currently as a result.

There’s a difference between making nice with people you’d rather not because they’re the head of state and doing so when you invite him to your home when you’re not in office.

Brazil isn’t in a strategic position to undermine the US dollar? A stated Lula position.

Brazil isn’t in a strategic position to help Putin circumvent western sanctions in regards to the Ukraine war?

Brazil is in a much, much stronger position to undermine US interests than Hungary.

Brazil is in a fragile state as well as their conservative joke had their own January 6th. At least the former President there is in jail where Trump and many Republicans in Congress belong as well.

The former President was anti Putin and Pro US.

Lula is neither.
