In the entire USA!!
So if someone lives somewhere that has a basically infinite supply of water in the water table under them, has their own well and septic system….they should be using only the products approved by DC because they know better?
In the entire USA!!
That sounds like more work to me.Then let IDNR (Iowa?) handle it and send an annual report to the EPA.
So we agree - it’s just “more work” - regardless. Why are we paying the Feds for busy work? Let the locals determine if it’s needed. That sounds like more work to me.
No. However, if you value conservation just do it. As someone pointed out, you can always modify the shower head if you want more flow.So if someone lives somewhere that has a basically infinite supply of water in the water table under them, has their own well and septic system….they should be using only the products approved by DC because they know better?
A paragraph in the regs on shower heads is busy work?🤣So we agree - it’s just “more work” - regardless. Why are we paying the Feds for busy work? Let the locals determine if it’s needed.
I want a shower to be like driving through the car wash! Some people like high water pressure with lots of water coming at them…that’s me.
Watching HGTV it seems like some buyers think showers like this are a great sell/buy feature.I want a shower to be like driving through the car wash!

It would be for me! When I re-do my shower, I think I want something like a scaled-down version of that. Don't need all 4 sides, but maybe 2 would be good, plus the handheld and the rain shower.Watching HGTV it seems like some buyers think showers like this are a great sell/buy feature.
Yikes!
Don't get me started on HGTV! The number of people on House Hunters that want a boring, all-white kitchen amazes me! Part of the reason I got the house I did is because the kitchen has colors and a patterned backsplash that I really liked. And these special thin drawers along the bottom of the cabinets where you put your cookie sheets!Watching HGTV it seems like some buyers think showers like this are a great sell/buy feature.

Where do you stand to clean yourself with soap in these things?I want a shower to be like driving through the car wash!

I feel like you can get all wet, turn the jets off, soap up, then reactivate the mechanism to blast all the soap and dirt off you. Then you can enjoy maybe 10 minutes of that water relaxing you while you can stand in one place and not have to spin around for coverage.Where do you stand to clean yourself with soap in these things?
And freeze your butt off while the water isn't running? No thanks.I feel like you can get all wet, turn the jets off, soap up, then reactivate the mechanism to blast all the soap and dirt off you. So the EPA is needed for controlling shower head pressure? One would think the EPA is needed for really important things. Showers aren’t one of them.
Wow - either this is a huge crisis, or the EPA is just looking for busy work.
I don’t disagree about scarcities in certain areas. That point was tragically proven when water ran out while fighting the Altadena fires in LA. Phoenix is a very big area for concern as well. Las Vegas is another. Green golf courses are so much more important right? 😵💫![]()
Addressing a Growing Water Crisis in the U.S.
In the United States, many people take for granted that water is accessible with a simple turn of a faucet, but today an estimated 2.2 million Americans live in homes without running water or basic plumbing. Because of aging water infrastructure and failing septic systems, tens of millions more...www.cdcfoundation.org
Except water scarcity is a real issue.
Good call! You'd also want a heater mounted on the ceiling of the shower. And freeze your butt off while the water isn't running? No thanks.
