The end goal is to put fewer and fewer species on the list, and get them off the list if someone can make a dollar off of their environment.

What I got out of those articles is that if you trust these guys to be good stewards of the environment, you have to be some kind of idiot.

It's ok if you are a Native American. Also, while it technically is illegal to possess a feather, the Feds are mainly concerned if you try to sell, buy, trade or barter them. However, if you have one, I would recommend not posting a picture of it on FB.
You"re right the US Fish and Wildlife Service and NOAA are horrible government agencies and should just be abolished. God forbid they attempt to modernize their processes so they can be more organized, standardized and more efficient. It was also and absolutely appalling idea to enlist the public's input regarding these changes. It's idiotic I say...

LOL...yeah, that's what they're doing. As they make it more difficult to get a species declared endangered. As they make it more difficult to declare a species threatened. As they make it more difficult to protect the land. Oh, and make it easier to develop sensitive areas. Sure..."modernized, organized, standardized, and efficient".
