That was not what was implied;
the letter was titled "Public Statement on the Hunter Biden Emails".
If Trump wants to remove security clearances, good for him, but to say the letter denied the laptop is inaccurate.
LOL

"For the Russians at this point, with Trump down in the polls, there is incentive for Moscow to pull out the stops to do anything possible to help Trump win and/or to weaken Biden should he win. A “laptop op” fits the bill, as the publication of the emails are clearly designed to discredit Biden."

Please point out in the letter where they stated the laptop was not real.

Please explain what you think a "laptop op" means in the context of the letter I linked.
What you're doing is beyond deliberately obtuse.

Keep in mind that letter, initiated by the Biden campaign, came in conjunction with an FBI effort to 'pre-bunk' the laptop story:

For nearly a year, the FBI had been conditioning social media companies to expect a “hack-and leak” operation from Russia involving Hunter Biden. In more than thirty meetings across eight months, the FBI led Big Tech to believe that the allegations in the Post story were Russian disinformation, even though the FBI had authenticated Hunter Biden’s laptop nearly a year prior.

On July 17, 2023, the House Judiciary Committee and Subcommittee on the Weaponization of the Federal Government conducted a transcribed interview of Laura Dehmlow, the Section Chief of the FBI’s Foreign Influence Task Force (FITF). During her transcribed interview, Dehmlow revealed that the same FBI personnel who were warning social media companies about a potential Russian “hack and leak” operation in the run-up to the 2020 election knew that the laptop belonging to Hunter Biden was not Russian disinformation. After the New York Post broke a story based on the contents of the laptop about Biden family influence peddling, the FBI made the institutional decision to refuse to answer direct questions from social media companies about the laptop’s authenticity—despite months of constant information sharing up to that time. Put simply, after the FBI conditioned social media companies to believe that the laptop was the product of a hack-and-dump operation, the Bureau stopped its information sharing, allowing social media companies to conclude that the New York Post story was Russian disinformation.

Funny how the worst disinformation always comes from the government itself.

So you cannot point to the 51 stating the laptop was not real. Thank you for the admission.
There is nothing obtuse about being correct. The letter focused on the emails, hence the title, not the laptop as a physical item.

Enough with your play on words.

President-elect Donald Trump, on Day 1, plans to suspend security clearances of the 51 intelligence officials who claimed reporting tied to Hunter Biden’s laptop had “the classic earmarks” of Russian disinformation ahead of the 2020 election, according to a report.

I already did, you've just chosen to ignore it.
Please explain what you think a "laptop op" means in the context of the letter I linked.
You refusal to address the plain language in the letter is your admission this is no other explanation.

The words "laptop op" are in the letter.
And you want to try and assert they weren't talking about the laptop that had the emails on it?

No, you didn't; you posted a portion of the letter from the 8th paragraph you feel confirms your stance. Why do you think that one mention is more relevant than the letter's title?
The 51 specifically stated emails in the title and throughout the body of the letter. The "laptop op" mention is regarding the emails; stating otherwise is inaccurate and disingenuous.

Because the laptop is what the emails were discovered on.
It was purported to be the vehicle of the Russian disinformation, but the FBI already knew the laptop was real.
I've read too many of your other posts to think you're actually this ****ing dumb.

Maybe I'm wrong. Maybe you are this dumb and I've just given you too much credit.

What was inaccurate and disingenuous was the effort to classify the laptop and emails as a Russian disinfo operation, that was the point of the letter.
It was all disinformation from the jump.

Do you want people using the authority of their security clearance credentials to push disinformation on the American public?

You never actually read their statement, did you?

"has all the classic earmarks of a Russian information operation."

Is pretty goddamned clear.

Yes, I have read the statement; what part of the statement do you feel the 51 mentioned states that the laptop was not real?
Why do you think the 51 titled the letter about emails if they were meant to misinform about the existence of the laptop?

Not every fed employee is turned over with every prez. Geez, get with it, a lot of these people are permanent employees at the CIA, NSA, FBI, etc
Well duh...but why would people like that remain employed by any admin? An honest admin would have had them removed long ago.

But then again we were dealing with a president who pardoned his familybwrs 15 minutes before he left office...hmmm... When it was speculated Trump would do the same previously, Dems said the only reason a president would do that is because he knew they were guilty (a sentiment I agree with), that a preemptive pardon is an admission of guilt...

I assume they and the HBOT Dems feel the same now.

Thank you. The basis of the letter was about the emails. Not the existence of the laptop.
Sorry, I had not previously read all of this thread. It seems you think they are not talking about the Hunter Laptop. You are a fool if you think this. The New York post ran an article on October 14, 2020 based on an email found on the Hunter Biden laptop about a purported meeting between then vice president Joe Biden and the Burisma advisor Vadym Pozharskyi. The Biden campaign denied this. The 51 FBI officials published this letter on October 19, 2020 (5 days after the NY Post revealed the Hunter laptop). They even mention the New York Post and the email in this letter.

The 51 FBI clearly did not want to say the laptop wasn't real in the letter, because they either knew it was true, or they didn't know either way. Instead they side stepped this by saying by writing this letter to give their suspiscions (this is lame to start with). This was clearly election interference to cover up some bad press for Biden.

who falsely implied Hunter Biden laptop was Russian fake.

This is just the start. Watching the America-haters on this board melt down has been pure joy.
