Today we were able to talk to the four starting defensive backs. Veteran group with plenty of confidence. They did mention that some of the young guys, like Johnson and Bruce, has showed promise. Kind of fun that Matt Hankins opened things up and asked reporters questions about why we got into this line of work. Hankins said he really wrestled with his decision to return for another year. felt he had room to grow this year.
Spencer Petras also talked. Said he really doesn't care or play attention to the fans that have been critical of him. He said that will respect.
Said he spent a lot of time watching film on his own games this past year and learned from it. He said his goal is to get to around 65% completion percentage. Said he studied a lot of film of Mac Jones from Bama to learn from how he operated last year.
