We often don’t do a turkey and we have a couple family members who get a little bent out of shape at that. When they host they do a big turkey and it’s always awful. Dry and tasteless.Worst? Nah, but it’s definitely down there imo. The dark meat is ok. White meat too easy to overcook and get dry.
I bought a smaller bird this year and unfortunately overcooked it. Dry as hell. Oh well. It was smaller because it was an organic version at Costco since all others were sold out. Spent 47 dollars on a 14 pound turkey.Worst? Nah, but it’s definitely down there imo. The dark meat is ok. White meat too easy to overcook and get dry.

Alligator is rubbery and pretty tasteless imo. It’s a novelty menu item imo.I haven't tried alligator. I like leftover Thanksgiving turkey and turkey cold cuts.
I gotta agree with your guests. If you’re hosting Thanksgiving, turkey should be on the menu regardless of your personal opinion. We often don’t do a turkey and we have a couple family members who get a little bent out of shape at that. When I grew up and got my own house I swore I’d never do turkey again. Boringest meat in the entire world. Honey glazed ham is how I roll.Beef, chicken, pork, fish, etc. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>turkey.

Disagree. Properly cooked turkey is delicious. At least the white meat. Dark turkey meat has too much weird shit going on with sinew. I prefer properly cooked turkey breast to most fish that aren’t crustaceans.Beef, chicken, pork, fish, etc. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>turkey.

Im more of a silicone breast kinda guy, but you do you.Is this OP telling us he can’t cook a turkey? Love me some turkey, picked up a couple of breasts for the freezer so I can smoke them throughout the year.
