Two Crazy Liberals, Ronald Reagan and GHW Bush Discuss Immigration and the Border

I am a so-called "Ronnie Worshiper" and I liked what I heard in that video.
On six different occasions, I voted for at least one of those two men (partly for their understanding of U.S./Mexico relations).
In that video, Reagan is revealing his thinking on NAFTA which has been working in spite of all the efforts to gut it and demonize it.

Those two men are giant intellectuals and visionaries compared to anyone running at the moment. (or actually in the office of president)

How do you "rail against" something like a wall? People will go on talking about this for the next generation and little will be done. During that time, the Mexican economy will outpace our economy and at some point, more people will be traveling to Mexico for jobs than will be coming here. Other political issues will dwarf the significance of such a wall and this debate will become a chapter in U.S. history.
Keep in mind that what Trump and others are calling for requires overriding certain basic laws of economics by force. I would like for someone to provide an example of one single situation where such an effort had a lasting and successful outcome.

Besides, all of my "Railing against" efforts have been confined to President Obama for the past eight years! Keep in mind that his approach has been to do nothing for either our economy or for Mexico's economy ... while at the same time changing the way, they measure back-and-forth traffic over the border, and then pretending that he is "tough on illegal immigration." In short, he simply does not care about Mexico or Mexicans. He wants to address other issues instead, and simply tries to wish this stuff away.
I am not sure what your actual point was ... since your response picked out one sentence that was not really the substance of the post. I can only assume that you did not understand what I was saying.
I get tired of trying sometimes. The liberals for the most part do not seem to know much about the real world ... or even their own fantasy world.
