Or Cole Banwart. I thought guard play lacked against UNI. Lots of missed assignments. First one that comes to mind was 8 yd sack on drive #1. Interior lineman went straight to Stanley untouched. I thought Paulsens filled in admirably against N Ill, surprised Dalton Ferguson over either of them sliding in.
What was Banwart's injury?

Yeah, Kirk said last night he thought IKM would be able to start practicing again Tuesday. I think they will need him against Wisconsin. He is the most talented back. Also need ISM as he is able to stretch the field better than any Iowa WR>

I'm thinking ISM is back and have a feeling we'll see perfectly executed play action bomb to him, Tevaun Smith B1G Championship game style. God that would be sweet if we pulled that first series.

A full Complement of Wr’s would definitely be nice.. Kyle & Nick are getting involved and B.Smith I feel is gaining some much needed confidence.. hope ISM is back healthy he would round it off..

I doubt you're ever going to see someone who missed the game 2 days prior on a Monday morning depth chart, it means nothing.

Smith-Marsette is on there.

I would love to see a healthy Iowa oline for more than one week straight. It seems like the last few years there has been a steady stream of shuffling on the ol because of injuries great and small and guess this year injuries and suspensions.

Yeah that would be nice. The good part about some of the early season shuffling is that it shouldn't be calamity if Iowa get an in-game injury on the o-line or at linebacker. Kallenberger has proven he can fill in if needed and even got a series with the rest of the 1's in place of Jackson last week at LT. Ferguson has played RT and started at guard. Paulsen has filled in at tackle and guard.
At linebacker both Welch and Colbert have played well. Wade looks like he could play if needed.
Hopefully sitting Banwart out last week enables him to go this week.

What we've learned through the prior season when playing Croston and Myers on bum ankles is that our level of play suffered. Presumably Banwart has a bum ankle ... so they've learned that it is better to wait until he can play effectively on it.

It's unfortunately that for the 3rd straight week we've had to shuffle guys on the OL ... but hopefully we have developed some depth (as you suggest) so that the level of play doesn't suffer.

ISM was also in the depth chart prior to the UNI game. Barring a glaring change from one game to the next these essentially mean nothing.
