I actually thot he played ok the other night. Didn’t score much, but he got tons of attention whenever he had the ball. He didn’t force anything. Also drew double teams a fair amount when he had it. And his defense looks to be improved this year, either he’s giving more effort or he has more mobility after his surgeries, or a combination. I do wish Fran would run more sets for him coming off screens thoThe game is far different today than it was in the 1980s. 30 second shot clock instead of 45. Can't just pass the ball forever and run guys off screens forever. You have time to run 1 maybe 2 actions, then a shot needs to get up. A player with Alford's same skill set isn't a 2,000 point scorer like he was at Indiana. Not happening.
I like how Iowa is using Bohannon this year. There will be games he makes an impact, like Virginia. There will be others where he doesn't, like Purdue.
