Is he the last Hawkeye to start an NBA game since Reggie Evans?
Huge kudos to him. Great job by Cook getting to this point.Oh, I imagine some Hawk in the future will start, making Tyler not the last.
It appears so. Marble & Evans both started 7 games in the 2015 season. Is he the last Hawkeye to start an NBA game since Reggie Evans?

That was big. As was a late rebound. 12 points, 6 rebs. As a (mostly dormant) Pistons fan since my youth, I can tell a lot of Pistons fan love him and have been calling for him to get more PT and he’s gotten many more minutes in the last two games. Needs to hit those free throws though.Cook with the steal and the stuff!
Anybody have that highlight? I seemed to have missed that one.Cook with the steal and the stuff!

I was a big TC fan (still critical of him at times I’m sure), but I remember that my biggest gripe was that Fran tried using him in a LeBron type of role where he would be a primary ballhandler and frequently turned it over. It’s pretty evident now that this wasn’t, and isn’t, Tyler’s game and that he’s a huge pick and roll + transition threat. He took it upon himself to be “the guy” his last year at Iowa, but what he really needed was a quality guard who could get him the ball in pick and roll situations. It’s too bad that Toussaint and Cook’s years at Iowa didn’t line up. That would have been a blast to watchLots of Hawkeye fans in there too. Man, he caught hell from some of the people on this board a few years back. Dude is working hard and proving people wrong. Nothing but the best.

Yep. 17 points and 5 rebounds in 34 minutes. Getting better every game (given the minutes) it seems.Leading scorer tonight shooting 7 for 8. 3 for 4 on free throws. If he could just get some rebounds, it would help. But can definitely compete in the league.
