Chargers' Taylor had lung punctured by team doc

A Chargers team doctor accidentally punctured Tyrod Taylor's lung just before kickoff Sunday while trying to administer a pain-killing injection, leading to the quarterback missing the team's game against the Chiefs, coach Anthony Lynn told ESPN.

What a crap deal for Taylor.

I found it odd after the game that the Charger's coach, Lynn, said something along the lines of Herbert made too many mistakes and that there was a reason he was originally 2nd string to begin with. He had that INT, but I thought overall he did well.

He missed a lot of wide open throws... throws that would extended drives and put KC away.

Yikes! The story says the doctor has to do it, "blind", basically. Wouldn't you have an ultrasound or something available to help guide the needle? Isn't that a possibility?

Correct, as I said he made mistakes. He still looked better than Taylor.

It would be really hard just to say that they were moving away from Tyrod after the massive mistake by the doctor.
