U.S. economy adds 242,000 jobs

The one downer from the article--

Progress in the job market is a sign of the U.S. economy's resilience from the global slowdown. Other parts of the world -- from China and India to Europe and Latin America -- are suffering from slowing growth. The U.S. economy isn't immune to the headwinds from abroad: the U.S. manufacturing sector is in a 5-month recession.

This is why it is confusing to listen to Hillary and Bernie tells us how bad things are.

Regardless of the specifics, this trend takes a little ammo from the sane Republicans in their argument regarding the economy.
The one thing they will argue is that the ACA is forcing some employers to cut hours to skirt some requirements.
Regardless... these numbers are better than expected and long term gives working Americans some incentive to spend thus creating future expansion.
Objective analysis says this is a BIG positive.

Never mind

We will get the same old same old, these aren't good jobs, the real unemployment rate is much higher than stated because people have given up looking for work, the recession never ended because the GDP numbers are cooked, etc.

It's hard to argue with people who deny the facts.

It does show the strength of American capitalism, ingenuity.

Despite all the Disasters that Obama has laid in front of the US Economy, it still surges ahead.

What it does show is that we are the Alpha market and we have the strength to use trade to get what we want. If we are tired of N. Korea, just tell China to take them out or their shipping containers wont make it through customs. It also blows up your notion that Obama has been bad for America.

In fairness, it's tough to pay attention to policies when you have candidates measuring their dicks on stage during a debate.
Remember when Trump said that Hillary had gotten "Schlonged," many months ago? I completely forgot about it until now. Donald has dick on the mind. Looks like hogs have been a running theme for him this entire time.

That's because our GED Trump supporters only hear what they want to hear. Damn be the facts. I know this because in the second to last debate, Trump said the actual unemployment rate was near 40% and no one called him on it.

Trump is a pretty good manipulator. Oh, and a "uniter", too.

The "mad" voter that is eating up the Trump garbage isn't using their intelligence to make their decision... they're using their emotion.

That's YUGE!

I'm looking for facts. Specifically the facts of what kinds of jobs these were. Do you have those facts?

Read or click on the story from the OP! What the hell is so difficult to understand?

The largest sector of growth came from healthcare. HEALTHCARE! So all those GOP lies about the ACA causing job losses were... they were lies. But here's the problem. That doesn't fit the Republican narrative.

So the argument that all these job gains are part time jobs at McDonalds and Walmart is pure bullshit. Another reason Americans should be happy that the last two years of the last Republican administration are just a bad memory.

There's your proof. Click on and listen for yourself.

This is what I read in the article:

"Friday's job news wasn't all good. The sectors with the biggest gains -- retail, restaurants and social assistance -- are considered to be low-paying jobs."

However, the article linked to the page, "Could Donald Trump cause a recession in the U.S.?" sounded legit.

Read the link again and if you still don't see the statistics... come back and we'll "dumb it down" for you. Watch the accompanying video and you should understand it.
To summarize... retail and food COMBINED were the biggest gains, but the single biggest sector gains were in healthcare. So if you want to adopt the GOP mantra of twisting the facts, then use the COMBINED figure!

If you want to try and be objective, then you'll understand.

I absolutely LOVE when the positive jobs numbers role in month-after-month and watching Republican posters go into super-denial spin mode over the same numbers they would be gloating over with a Republican in the White House. BAU.
BINGO!

Did they give any %?

I'm hardly a Republican. I would love for the good jobs to be going up. I'm not rooting against the economy, but I'm also not following blindly to what nuggets the MSM decides to feed me.
