Schedule is below. Greco is already underway. Hawkeyes have Nyla Valencia, Felicity Taylor, and Tony Cassioppi competing.

I think that I saw Tony could be the first US men's freestyler to repeat as champ.

Other notes, Amit Elor is shooting for the triple crown(jr and sr world champ).

Even more impressive is Yui Susaki(see article below)

Bummer, Valencia lost 3-0 and was eliminated after her opponent lost next round.

Good day so far otherwise for the women as Howk, Basham, Ramirez and Guilford are all in the semis.

After a rough semis round(Howk, Basham, Ramirez all lost)Guilford's quick tf to advance to the finals was refreshing.

Howk lost a heartbreaker. Staged a fantastic comeback to take the lead with 10 sec left. Gave up the buzzer beater to lose 9-8 after failed challenge.

Taylor/Okuno semi up now

Not much action, Taylor on clock

1-0 Okuno after shot clock expires. Td and gut for Okuno, reversal Taylor. 5-1 Okuno at the break

2nd period:

Good action, but no scoring 2 mins to go. Td Okuno 7-1. 50 sec to go. Okuno gets the tf at the buzzer. Taylor will wrestle for bronze tomorrow.

Flo is killing me this morning. Late in every American's semifinals match it dropped the feed. You could still watch the other semi but not ours. Frustrating

Starocci goes down 8-7. Vito out, guy that beat him lost in the semis.
Thats what Starroci gets for talking shit, slice of humble pie kid and his behavior after loosing to Kaz was disgraceful there was no reason for his bs at the end sore loser. I think 57kg is to much of a pull for Vito, I think he is going to give 133 a good run.

Tony got worked in second match. Wrestled like crap. Gave up multiple sweep singles to TDs like his foot was glued to the mat and tried a cement mixer type thing and countered to his own back. 16-6 tf was final I think.

He seemed to forget what defense is and left his right leg wide open for the taking

Hidlay and Cardenas are both into the finals. Very impressed with Cardenas. He made his win over the Sr Bronze medalist look easy.

Then the Iranian made it look easy over him. Iran was down for a few years but damn if they aren't hip deep in talent now. Hidlay lost to the Japanese guy by a point. Both guys were short and stocky with a low center of gravity. Hidlay couldn't get through the guy's defense.
