When is the last time Mark Stoops took a bowl opponent out by 17 points or any UK team for that matter?

John Clay with Lexington Herald-Leader has it that way for UK-Iowa on Saturday.

Either team is seeking their fourth straight bowl win for the first time in bowl program history.

Kentucky finished 2020 at 5-6 but did win a 23-21 game against North Carolina State in the Gator Bowl.

All four bowl games have been one possession games, with the last loss for UK against Northwestern in the 2017 Music City 24-23.

Both teams are 1-0 in the Captial One Bowl. The Hawkeyes won to close out the 2004 season in the 30-25 walk off win over LSU.

Mark Stoops and UK began this bowl streak with a 27-24 win over Penn State in the Citrus Bowl to close out the 2018 season.

QB Will Levis had 12 interceptions, but he is a very mobile QB. He isn't simply a runner, like Iowa experienced in win at Penn State 41-21 last year.

Fumbles are an issue for Kentucky this season.

@TomKakert gives UK the edge in this game, as well.

Iowa's last bowl lost was an ugly 30-3 loss against UK's fellow SEC East mate, Florida.

Is the Iowa offensive line healthy?

Are they hungry for a physical game between Iowa and Kentucky?

Leadership for this Iowa team. They are 10-3 and have an opportunity to finish with 11 wins.

When does that happen with an Iowa team under any coach for the Hawkeyes?

Is DE Joshua Paschal going to play UK, after the leg injury against Louisville?

He would be a huge loss the colleague of John Clay mentioned. Far more dynamic than loss of #2 and #3 WRs, which is already the case for the Wildcats.

Iowa's defense will have to deal with 3 outstanding skill players at QB, WR and RB behind as good of offensive line, outside of Michigan who after the 14-3 halftime lead, took the Hawkeyes to the woodshed 42-3.

Iowa will be without RB Tyler Goodson for the first time throughout his career. Onward to the NFL?

Can someone step up and give a performance like Mekhi Sargent, who was missed in 2021 more than what likely was discussed?

Sargent had 6 carries for 61 yards in the Hula Bowl last season.

One last game on Saturday. Fight for Iowa, it should be a dogfight, if both team show up ready?
