Under Armour Ball - Nigel Hayes

Well, WI found out about IA's kryptonite and will be signing a 10 yr deal with UA. Wow, talking about conspiracy theory brewing, DanL, get to this!

Hayes is a smart kid and I agree with a lot of what he had to say. Thought it was funny though everyone from Mike and Mike down had something to say about Iowa being complainers, but others are saying the same thing

Can't imagine the NCAA mandating one ball. (Maybe conferences could) Plus there are going to be manufacturing tolerances even if one ball is used. Air Pressure, Diameter, Weight, and Bounce (coefficient of restitution) ranges would seem to be the only solution.

I thought his trolling of the NCAA was funny.

I get the complaint from him and other teams but it's funny Wisconsin is the only school in the country that uses the Sterling ball. Bo used it at UW-Plat and kept it when he moved to Madison.

Yeah but they kinda already do in a sense since they have to use the same one for March Madness. I mean if I were a coach, that's the ball I'd want to play with all season long, but that's just me.

Why not use the ball the NBA is using.. College is just the B developmental NBA league anyways for alot of the player. Whatever they do the NCAA should implement a static type of ball being used by all.

I didn't know the NCAA Tournament used the same ball. Any of us who have played basketball know not all balls are the same. If a ball felt different and we played bad the unique feel was embellished.

I never once lost a game and thought it was because of the ball. These kids grew up playing on outside courts, in aau, in school, in gym class, etc. and rarely had the same ball from one situation to the next. It's no big deal.

Now that I said that, I do think all NCAA games regular season and postseason should use the same ball. That would be a political nightmare I'm sure.

Ironically, the team really likes the newly arrived (last of) the Addidas uniforms.
