United Airlines CEO

Just as I thought

Context: this is the US Airways Halloween party from 2011. There was a musical costume tradition under then-CEO Doug Parker (Halloween is his birthday).

Waiting for @Phenomenally Frantastic to return to this thread:

Choose your flight plans carefully!

Here he is explaining that racist hiring practices are more important than merit.

If he's fully qualified for the job and runs it and they are profitable, I have no problem. If he got the job because he is a crossdresser then not so good.

If he wants to hire people that are fully qualified, no matter whatever they are, no problem. If he hires them because of their (whatever) to check a box. I won't buy the tickets.

Weak weak sauce.

Airlines have to follow FAA rules re pilots, I dont care if the guys is walking around with a vibrator in his ass as long as the pilots meet FAA certification.
That's one way to look at it.

Let's say there are two different pilots. Both are certified. One has 15,000 hours. Another has 10,000 hours, and a minor safety incident. Which will you choose?

So you're saying women and people of color can't fly planes effectively? I bet your Tesla looks really odd with a confederate flag draped over the back window.

That’s not what I said. Don’t lie. You can read what I did say though. Try again, more slowly.

The CEO is explicitly telling you they intend to hire people NOT objectively based on the applicants ability to fly the plane. Sooooo…….
This is laughable. I don't know what happened to you, but you clearly have no idea what the qualifications are to be a commercial airline pilot. You have no idea what level of oversight an airline adheres to. You clearly have no idea what it takes to be the CEO of a publicly traded company. You are embarrassing yourself, and that's being charitable.

Yes I realize that. Boeing + United

United Airlines fly Boeing aircafts.

DEI pilots plus a manufacturer that has lost its way. Not a good combo.
Okay, I was just curious as to why in a thread about United pilots you were posting about an airline that is not affiliated w/ them at all. Thanks for the explanation! Keep up the good work!
