Hard to argue against most of that. The creation of a ubiquitous society brought on by the ever evolving interwebz on its own kills Calhouns Theory. I don't think the theory should thrown out whole cloth though. For example, applying the theory to the worlds governments instead of people holds water in my opinion. It is ironic of me though taking a micro experiment and applying it on a more macro level.

It basically would apply to a "prison" where prisoners got all the food they needed, but no space and no extracurricular activities - just overcrowded cells and nothing to do.
