Just caught up with Max and he loved his visit. Couldn't believe how great Iowa and Iowa City was. Loves the new facility, but it was the people that really made him feel at home. Said the BBQ was great too and coming from a kid from Oklahoma, that's high praise.
Said he sat down with Coach Parker and loved talking to him about how he coaches his players and the way Iowa plays in the defensive backfield.
Coach Wallace is his main recruiter and would coach him at cornerback. He said he loves talking to him and that he's really funny, but all about his business too. Says they have a great relationship.
Max said he's going to announce his decision next Monday, which is shaping up to be a pretty big day for Iowa announcements now with McKnight and Simon also set to commit. I asked him if he's taking any other visits and he said that he just cancelled them. Seems like a positive development for Iowa in that regard. He said Iowa is right there on top with Louisville and UCLA, who have both offered.
