Sigh...................meh.
It is what it is at this point. Honestly, I think Iowa is better off losing their 1st round BTT game and falling to the 11 seed to get a 6/11 matchup. Sure we're gonna be playing a fairly good 6 seed most likely (and we're most likely gonna lose our 1st Round NCAA game no matter what......), but the numbers game says 6 seed then either 3 seed or 14 seed (with the upset) is much better than facing Duke, Kentucky, UNC, Virginia, etc etc.......
I admit at this point I was hoping for a 10-12 seed because that would suck me back in giving me hope at a chance. In the 8/9? Our fate is sealed even if we do win game one.
Same. 8/9 we will get smoked by the #1 seed and just see how pedestrian our guards are. Maybe it’ll be a wake up call to Fran, but I doubt he’d get the message. He’d just blame the officials.

If Fran hasn't gotten the message in nine years, it's a good bet he never will. Coaches are like most other people: they see only what they want to see. Great coaches, and great leaders in any organization, see reality and react accordingly.
