Actually on Sportcenter he had Iowa as 4th team out, with Illini right in front of them. The announcer said, well you can drop Illinois out of there. Big game today at noon!
Don't take PSU too lightly, they have some real talent on this team.
Crazy what a week can do. Those 2 wins were some of Fran's biggest at Iowa. If this team ends up making the tournament... Fran's best coaching job. No question. Even if we don't. He's (they, the whole staff) getting an awful lot out of the youngest team in school history.
First, we need to beat Penn St. today. Then we need
to win our first two games at Big Ten Tournament. At
least we would have an NIT bid.

Iowa wins today, I am pretty confident Iowa is in the nit.
Have you been under a rock for 5 days? Win today and we are in NIT. 3 more, lock for NCAA.
RPI is not the, tell all be all, this year like it once was.
Iowa is already in the NIT. I'm not holding my hopes up on the NCAA but this team has been more telegenic than teams in the past so maybe that will give them the benefit of the doubt. I've seen Iowa teams with better resume's get left out though. This all assumes Iowa does an average run in the BTT (maybe one win and a loss to Purdue or something). If Iowa gets to the championship game then I like their chances much better.
If Iowa wins today and wins their first game in the tourney, I think they have a very good chance of getting into the Tourney as one of the last four. If they win today and 2 in the BTT they are in for sure. They are peaking at the right time and have won 2 games on the road back to back against top 25 teams.

Yes better teams have been left out, tbose were better fields.
