Speaker of the United States House of Representatives, Mike Johnson, has reacted to US Secretary of Agriculture, Brooke Rollins’ decision to ensure that illegal immigrants do not receive federal food benefits paid for by hardworking American taxpayers.
Rollins had on Friday directed the US Department of Agriculture to make sure that illegal immigrants don’t receive federal food benefits paid for by hardworking American taxpayers.
She also issued guidance to state agencies to strengthen SNAP eligibility verification.
Reacting, Johnson in a post on his X Twitter account, thanked Rollins and also US President Donald Trump for putting the American people first.
He insisted that hardworking Americans should not be made to pay the bill for illegal aliens.
Johnson wrote: “Hardworking Americans shouldn’t have to foot the bill for illegal aliens.
“These programs are meant for citizens who truly need them, no one else. Thank you @SecRollins and @POTUS for putting the American people FIRST.”
