Why is someone who so obviously hates football allowed to be a "sports columnist" writing about football?
In today's screed, full of hyperbole, piss and vinegar, she claims that "not a damn thing ever changes" (guess she missed all the rule changes and flags for helmet-to-helmet contact) and dismissed the NFLs donation of $30 million to the National Institutes of Health and a $60 million partnership with GE on the Head Health Initiative.
"But for a league that generated $10 billion in revenues last year... Imagine what a difference it could make if the NFL threw even one of those billions at scientists," she bleats. Does she not understand the difference between revenues and profits? Does anyone really think a billion dollars would satisfy her blood lust for the league and the game?
Stabler and Morall acquired their injuries a long time ago playing a game that was much different than it is today. If we have to listen to this crapola every time a former player dies, whether the cause of death was CTE or not, then she's engaging in propaganda, not journalistic opinions based on facts.
