If the rumor is true that UCLA and USC will become members of the B1G by 2024, that makes things interesting for B1G baseball. While adding SoCal to the B1G's footprint will pay large financial dividends for every school in the B1G conference, I cannot imagine that the baseball programs at either school are jumping for joy if this plays out.

This could be pretty big for the Big Ten. UCLA is a perennial Top 25 and NCAA Tournament team.

Could potentially try to host some round robin tournaments like Minnesota does with the Cambria Classic. For example...

Cambria Classic (US Bank Stadium Minneapolis, MN) 2022 Field
- Minnesota, Michigan State, Illinois
- West Virginia, Notre Dame, Kansas

UCLA Tournament (Los Angeles, CA)
- UCLA, Iowa, Michigan
- Oregon, UC Santa Barbara, Long Beach State

USC Tournament (Los Angeles, CA)
- USC, Nebraska, Maryland
- Stanford, San Diego, UC Irvine

UCLA's coaches to its players: "This year, we will open conference play on the road against Iowa. It will be a bit different than when we opened conference play on the road against Arizona State in Tempe. You might want to pack stocking caps, mittens and a heavy coat for when you are sitting on the bench.

It's not like it doesn't snow in Salt Lake City, Boulder or the Palouse.

Definitely have to keep the conference tournament in Omaha. Could be a premier conference tournament now.

We’ll see how much college teams want to keep the season in the spring when they start playing conference games in the north.

Not exactly doing cartwheels and somersaults.

Going to be even funnier when neither win the regular season title in year one, and I'm sure both think they will.
The last time Maryland played UCLA, in their inaugural B1G season, they were in Los Angeles knocking the Bruins out of the regionals...
