Huh, that’s dumb. If you don’t want to pay because it’s an awesome commercial, okay. But don’t expect the artists to pay you.

Name the last great Super Bowl halftime show. I can’t think of one that was actually really good.
2022. Dre, Eminem, Mary j blige, snoop, Kendrick Lamar
Along with The Rolling Stones and Prince, that’s the only one that even comes to mind as decent. But REALLY good?

The NFL pays the performer's travel expenses plus the union scale, and there is a budget for the stage setup. Many of the recent entertainers spend millions beyond the agreed-upon budget because of the exposure boost, as the additional followers alone trump the cost.
The NFL does not take a percentage of record sales after a halftime performance.

I had to ask someone who he was. I never heard of him. I'm not a fan of any of the halftime shows. I don't understand the appeal. But a lot of people like it.
