Currently he leads the Big in blocked shots by a WIDE margin. In my mind his shot blocking abilities are even more impressive because he often is blocking or altering a 3 point shot attempt. Read that he is blocking something crazy like 11% of opponents shot attempts. He is also #10 in the Big in defensive rebounding. In a year where there doesn't seem to be any really good defensive guard making a lot of steals, I think he may win:
