The very purpose of the Constitution (especially the the Bill of Rights, separation of powers, and judicial independence) is to create bedrock principles to protect the minority from a tyranny of the majority. The fact that Vance is arguing to the contrary suggests either that he learned nothing in law school or that he is willfully disingenuous.
