With a couple huge bowl wins and a national championship, the Big Ten earned the respect that it deservedly lost over the past ten years. The Big Ten has a chance to be the nation's premier conference if it can win a few of these games, particularly against Alabama, Oregon, TCU, and of course OSU taking care of business against Virginia Tech.
Wisconsin- Alabama
Michigan State- Oregon
Minnesota- TCU
Ohio State- Virginia Tech
Purdue- Virginia Tech (Probably an ass whooping, but you never know)
Michigan- Utah, Oregon State, BYU
Nebraska- BYU, Miami
This is also a huge September for Iowa and Ferentz. Each of the first three teams (Illinois State, Iowa State, and Pitt) have a good shot at Iowa. I know some are tired of discussing Iowa State, but I don't think that game can possibly be understated this year. If Iowa's in the 7 to 8 win range and one of those losses is to ISU, Ferentz is in grave danger of losing his job. I'm not saying that's right or wrong, that's just the reality imo.
