Love that kids confidence. Isn't it smarter for Iowa, long term, that he does red shirt? IMHO I'd rather have Lee, Teasdale, Kemerer and Marinelli in the line up as much as possible.

Really like his attitude.....has no issue with wrestling at 165 this year if he does well in the open tourneys.....glad Coach Brands is on the same page with Alex in regard to if he does/does not red-shirt.

Yep. Training with the HWC. Editing to add for those that listen to the podcast I mentioned last weekend he was scrapping with Holloway.

Don't have any info on him being in the HWC, although I would assume he would, but I do know he broke up with his girlfriend towards the beginning of summer. Differing opinions is all I'll say on the matter.

Marinelli is an absolute killer. If he can find a way to consistently get out from bottom against elite riders (Cooper Moore could be a real challenge this weekend), he is going to be in the high AA discussion sooner than later. I've been to a couple practices recently and couldn't be higher on Kemerer and Marinelli.
