Video: Keith Murphy one-on-one with relaxed, energized Kirk Ferentz

I didn't see a whole lot of energy in that video. Seemed like Ferentz could have fallen asleep at any moment.
You see what you want to see. And you did. I saw energy. And BTW, Kirk has always had those eyes that look half closed. It has nothing to do with energy, it has to do with genes.

i guess i just don't see the point of this interview, we know all this stuff already. just the way the questions seemed so canned and kirk's answers were so typical it almost made me feel like they were doing a promotional item, but for what? the new facilities, the fact that he wants to spend more time coaching, to go over the good ol' times, that he loves fundraising?

we know you're a good guy, kirk, but GD we want to see some wins, not some rehearsed mock interview! you're not a salesman, stop spending time trying to sell us and start spending more time doing what we all know you can do and thats coaching football!!

and yes, i know he's not reading this, but it felt good to say it.

I suppose the point of the interview was that Murphy wanted to do it. If you know anything about him he doesn't bow down (except to ISU sometimes).

Good interview by a class coach. I've coached three players in high school who played for Kirk and they all have nothing but positive things to say about the man. He is fair, honest and loyal to his players and his staff, a great ambassador for the University and the state of Iowa.

But according to many posters on this board he is a poor football coach or should at least be fired for not winning as many games as they want him and Iowa to win.................what say you?
